As we age several phenomena occur:
- Tension from frequent muscle use creates fine lines.
- Thinning of the skin and decreased production of hyaluronic acid which leads to volume loss in the skin.
- Descending fat pads in the cheeks leading to deepened lines between the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds).
- Thinning of the lips and flattening of the philtral column between the nose and upper lip.
- Downturning of the corners of the mouth caused by loss of support resulting “Marionette” lines.
- Decreased support for the lower third of the face.
There are a variety of products that can be used to enhance the angles of the face and improve the thinning appearance of the skin that occurs with age. Esthetic injectables not only erase wrinkles, but can stop the creation of new wrinkles as well.
We offer Botox and Dysport to smooth wrinkles caused by excess muscle use. This procedure takes about 15-20 minutes to complete in the office and there is virtually no downtime.
We offer dermal fillers, such as Restalyne and Juvéderm, to smooth wrinkles, replace lost volume, fill scars, and enhance lip and cheek shape. These products integrate nicely in the skin allowing natural movement and expression. Dermal fillers are a soft, pliable gel form of hyaluronic acid which is normally produced by your skin cells. The filler is naturally degraded by your body over time. Post-treatment results typically last from nine months to two years depending on the area of the face that is injected.
Dermal fillers are frequently used to correct cheek depressions, deep smile lines, and marionette lines, as well as to redefine the lip borders.
Peels are utilized to:
- Improve skin texture
- Reduce discoloration
- Reduce appearance of fine lines
- Helps smooth texture
- Decongest pores
- Reduce blotchiness and surface imperfections
- Boost radiance

Kybella is an FDA-approved neck and under the chin treatment that permanently removes fat from under the chin. It’s a prescription medication made with deoxycholic acid used to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin.
IPL Laser photorejuvenation
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) laser treatments are most commonly used for lightening and removing sun spots, and red or brown discoloration on the face, neck, chest, and hands. It is helpful in reducing rosacea, dilated blood vessels, and reducing redness creating a more homogenous appearance. It improves the skin texture through collagen stimulation and helps diminish pore size by temporarily reducing oiliness. Best results are obtained after a series of three to five treatments given one month apart. There is little discomfort during the procedure with no down time. You can expect dark spots to be slightly darker three to seven days after the laser treatment. After the series is completed, with good skin care, the effect can be maintained with yearly laser treatments.
Laser Hair Removal
Hair removal is acheived as a concentrated light beam is emitted by the laser and absorbed by the pigment (melanin) into the hair shaft. The light energy is converted into heat which damages the hair follicles that produce hairs without injuring the surrounding tissue. The damage inhibits or delays future hair growth. Common areas treated are legs, armpits, upper lip, and bikini line. However laser hair removal can be applied anywhere on the body except near the eye. Laser hair removal usually requires a series of treatments depending on the area treated as hair grows faster in some areas of the body. Repeat treatments may be done anywhere between four and twelve weeks depending on the area treated.
